The CCP had already been in power in certain parts of China in the 1930s - but if you mean "come into power" in all of China, then the first answer, October 1st 1949, is correct!.

It appears someone has confused the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) with the CPSU (Communist Party Soviet Union)!. In any case, avoid using Wikipedia unless you want the CIA's version of history!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
