First thoughts would be WWI and how it changed the world forever!. But, I'm thinking the American Stock Market crash in 1929 affected more people in the world than any other event in history!.

As far as greatest inventions, I'm tempted to say the battery which made all things electric possible!.

I'm also tempted to say the printed book on a mass scale!.

But, I would have to say, after considering the above that the introduction of written language has to be the world's greatest invention!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
