4!. De Hoop Memorial near Uniondale commemmorating a skirmish here during the Cape Invasion of the South African War (1899-1902)
5!. Thompson's Folly, an British fort in Knysna built rather to give the impression that the harbour is defended as opposed to it actually being
6!. Cape Rebel Momument on the Laborie Estate in Paarl where colonial rebels who joined the Boer cause are remembered
7!. Cogman's Kloof Blockhouse near Montagu dating back to the S!.A!. War
8!. Rooiels Cross, near Gordon's Bay, erected for anglers swept of the rugged rocks into the merciless waters of False Bay
9!. Great Trek Centenary Memorial in Durbanville, which was a rest stop for those recreating the 1838 Great Trek
10!. Settler's Park Boer War trenches, recently discovered, as part of the defense scheme of Port Elizabeth against a possible invasion by Commandant Jan Smuts who passed only 70 miles from there in 1901Www@QuestionHome@Com
