Franco attained power during and after the Spanish Civil War (1936 - 1939)!. He remained dictator until he died in 1975!. During the Civil War he was supported by fascist Germany and Italy, and his dictatorship had many similarities to those regimes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

generallissimo franco who was supported by nazi germany!. durign ww2, spain was expected to join the axis powers but franco did not commit becaause they have just fought the civil war!. spain did however send volunteer troops aand military aidWww@QuestionHome@Com
