napoleon was a product of the revolution!. he fought for the republican army and helped the french protect themselves from enemies that thought the moment was right to make a show of force!. a little known fact about napoleon is that the politicians actually asked him to become the ruler of france so that order could be reestablished and he told them to put it to a vote of the people!. that's right!. the people of france actually voted to make napoleon emperor!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

His rise to power was AFTER the frnech revolution mainly!. He embraced enlightenment ideas and was a supporter of the revolution however!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
