for many not so good

either evacuated to the countryside to someone you don't know and some never saw their parents again, if you were lucky you were sent to someone with money and had a more better experience!. but some had strict cruel adopters some even were abused by the elders!.

you stayed at home on very tight rations, frequent air raids during the blitz!. not many schools open since they had been bombed or not enough teachers since some were fighting!. waking up at night to the sound the air raid sirens having to go in your small shelter which is normally cold, damp and a scary place to be knowing bombs could blow you or your house up!.

no sweets, no real milk just powered, clothes to fit for the next 7 years, had to carry a gas mask at all times making it hard to play games!.

if your dad was fighting you had to go through the fact he could be dead or could die at any time and not having a father figure around didn't set the kids on the straight and narrow leaving the kids getting up to no good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
