Question: Why did U!.S!. get involved with vietnam!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The reason the US got involved in Vietnam was because of the policy of containment the US had (policy of trying to stop the spread of communism)!. The US also had the domino theory (one country falls to communism, all will--like domnios)!. This was during the Cold War, by the way, to stop communism as they had tried in Korea in the 50's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was no real clear reason!. The clearest reason was so that communism could not spread to Southeast Asia and maybe all of Asia!. We also wanted to show that any communist regime trying to take over another country would be stopped which did not work out because Vietnam became communist anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
