Hmmm, let's see!.!.!.!.!. he practiced drugs quite a bit, which he mentioned quite a bit in his songs!. On the other hand, he was an unfaithful and verbally unkind person (putting it nicely) to his first wife!. He lived in an upscale apartment, while he at least seemed to imply that everyone else should live "equally" and "in harmony," which was a clear contradiction!. He didn't have the guts to stand up to the other band members nor their manager when they, in an act of cowardice, fired their first drummer, Best!. Seemed to care more about image than substance!.

Overall, nope -- doesn't sound like he really practiced what he preached!. But that is just one man's opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As an example, a friend of a friend was on his way to serve time in a federal prison (I think for a drug/marijuanna conviction) and while he was waiting for his plane, handcuffed and with a federal marshal, John Lennon approached him and struck up a conversation!. After finding out what the case had been about and the ike, John Lennon went a bought the man a carton of cigarettes (both so that the man, who was a bit nervous could smoke and so that while in prison he had something to trade and barter with)!.

John Lennon was a peace activist, who gave of both his personal wealth and time for the cause of world peace!.

Did he have some personal flaws and did he ever do somethings that might be considered inappropriate, yes he did (but so have we all)!.

He was human and I think that is what he preached and lived!.

seems that he did!.!. although after reading some of the books on him (one written by his ex wife) i would have to say he wasn't as nice of a person as I would've thought!.!. still, I'm a big fan of him and think he was mostly great ( just not perfect)Www@QuestionHome@Com
