Well if you really believe the middle east has freedom then you have been misinformed!. The middle east is in a pull and push war and power over oil rights and religious sanctions is keeping the nations from coming together to form a union of trust all in the name of money and greed!. Sadaam was the first sucker to stick his head out of the sand and go to war because of his greed and it got him hung by his own rope!. Independence is earned by a country not just one day a leader say's "Ok, we all are independent!" It doesn't work that way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

untill the end of 1st ww The Ottoman Empire ruled the middle east with Islamic law,they gained their independence from Turks with the help of British,this is the time we see Lawrence of Arabia in the pages of history!.

benefit was that they could attempt self rule but many were created out of fake states and nice straight lines which don't exist with many different ethnic groups inside and area!.!. generally they were tribal and were used to benefit the country that controlled there area!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
