Question: Does the city of Caral, Peru really discount the warfare theory of the origin of civilization!?
Now recognised as among the oldest cities ever Cara;!. Peru was apparently an agriculture/ trade capital and is being used to discount the warfare reason for civilization building!.

While I fully agree that trade is likely a common cause of civilization building, I think warfare, religion, and agriculture!. All act in concert!.

Some cultures like minoans depended on thier navies and technological advantage and didnt need fortifications!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Every loser academic has their pet theory about why something is the case!. They can then have a pointless debate with another academic and get their names known!.

In reality something as complex as civilisation is likely to result from the convergence of several factors!.

An agriculture surplus produces an excess of materials!.
Trade produces greater specialisation and free people!.
Warefare requires a higher level or organisation!.
Etc

Look for the theories that take into account several factors that combine together to understand the changing nature of societies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
