I would guess it's in Maryland, as that was settled by Catholics, mostly!. I'll see what I can find!.
Edit: Yes, it was in southern Maryland, built by Jesuits in the 1630s!. Here's a link to a story from the Washington Post, or at least it claims to be from the Post!.

Esmereld, the question is about a Catholic church!. The Pilgrims and the people in Jamestown were most definitely NOT Catholic!. You might want to brush up on your history a bit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Catholic Church in the New World began under the Spanish, one of the European countries where the Catholic Church was the State religion, but they were more in the South-west!.

Spanish missionaries, chiefly Franciscans, Dominicans and Jesuits established numerous missions in what are now the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California!. In 1565 a royal Spanish grant was issued to colonize Florida with the condition that twelve religious and four Jesuits be maintained!. This colony founded St!. Augustine, the oldest Catholic city in this country!.

But since Florida wasn't one of the (original) 13 colonies, it must be Maryland!.

As early as 1634 Jesuits were established in the Maryland colony, and after 1681 Catholics were tolerated in Pennsylvania!. It was in these states (first Maryland and then in PA) that the first Catholic churches were established!.

After the Revolution many Catholic emigrants came from Ireland, and in 1790 the see of Baltimore was established!. At that time there were about 30,000 Catholics in the United States!. By 1820 they had increased to 250,000, and during the next twenty years the numbers were greatly increased by immigration!. Through the great migratory movement west, after the Revolution, the church was planted in the valleys of the Ohio and Mississippi, and from there it crossed the continent, reaching the Pacific coast in the middle of the 19th century!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was probably some sort of place of worship in Jamestown, VA and you can be sure there was a meeting house in the Pilgrims' settlement at Plymounth, MA!. Roger Williams founded the Baptist Church in Providence, RI in 1638!.

It sort of depends on your definition of "church"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
