okay - think Vietnam War, student protests ("The Movement") ] several people died in violent incidents in which the war was being protested!.

the significance is that the majority of America was trying to be patriotic, and although there was some opposition to the war, violence didn't help (people felt that a violent movement was unpatriotic) and force was used to put down protestsWww@QuestionHome@Com
