Generally the last part of the century is considered "Victorian" from about 1880 to 1910!. The term Victorian in America more often refers to an artistic movement that is reflected clothing, architecture and very modest and stilted etiquette!. The 1800's for America is varied and very wiley!. Industrialism, western expansion, mass immigration from Europe, civil war etc!.!.!. It's a pretty amazing time in American History!. When things started to get more industrial, and most of the US was "settled!." did it become more concerned with the civility of the Queen Victoria and her cultural influences!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Some of us do!. Then again, I like history and speak of it frequently!. It does refer mainly to the time of the reign of Victoria, but also to certain attitudes and actions!.
