It was a horrible thing, and it is equally as bad when ppl try and deny it, say it wasnt that bad, or make any other comment about it trying to make it seem not as bad as it really was!. sure there has been other genocides, but this question was "what is your opinion about the holocaust"!. like I said horrible thing to have happened to any being regardless of religion or race!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A horrible, tragic, and very sad era of human history!. The inhumanity towards a fellow human being is something we can never allow to happen again!. However; less than thirty years later we did allow it to happen again in Cambodia then many more times in our history to include human massacres of civilians in Africa!. Yet, the world questions the United State's policy of sticking our nose in other peoples business, the prevention of human tragedy is human business!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That such a clever people would be able to do such a thing taught us about the dangers of any form of ideology that was too nationalistic or under the control of a demagogue!.
It banished forever the notion of man as a kind of noble savage, bumbling but well intentioned!.
And it cast a deep shadow over the rest of the twentieth
century as men in various disciplines sought to understand and explain how we could have done this thing to ourselves, because the crime of the holocaust was not about the killing of the Jews only, it destroyed forever something about nature of mankind as we understood it!.
In today's climate many even try to deny it happened for a variety of reasons!. I happen to have met two survivors, one of whom was just a little girl when it happened!. Yes it did take place!. No it wasn't Jewish propaganda!.
We must see that something similar never happens again,

i think people make too much of a big deal about it, i mean there are plenty of other genocides that happened that people wont talk about, like the native american genocide and the explotation of asian workers!. why didnt the jews fight back!? you can even say that some jewish tribes helped in the killing of jews, just like they say that some native american tribes helped in fighting their own people!. I bet if the people in those gas chambers had been asian no one would give a crap about the holocaust!.

i also think that mutilating the genitals of innocent newborn babies is a holocaust in itself!Www@QuestionHome@Com
