A lot of it, was a wannabe retro-longing for what most people MISSED in the 60's (youth & sex 'revolution') and the 70's (me decade, wild partying, discos, etc)!. People with money drove the drug culture, in the 80's!.!. just like in the 60's (in the 70's it hit the streets of urban America, with devastating consequences)!.

College students for sure!.!. and professionals/yuppies (Young Upwardly-mobile Professionals)!.!. who drove the cocaine industry to new heights!. Inner-city crack was big with urban blacks/spanish and suburban whites, driving in for a score!. Suburban couples & families, who were young-adults in the 60s -- and you KNOW they were still toking, sniffing and popping anything they could afford, which was alot!. You had the Mayor of D!.C!. caught in a drug sting, plenty of upper-circle "recreational use" and of course, the music industry and film industry - which is a steady USER of everything you can name!.!. and all you'd have to do was raid their parties (if you really WANTED to win the "war on drugs" which was originally "declared" in the 80s)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The 70's & 80's became famous for young upward moving professionals trying to get ahead in life to begin taking drugs like cocaine!. Cocaine became a "professional drug" of choice over the past professional drug of alcohol!.
If you wanted to find a lot of cocaine, go to a party with a lot of doctors, lawyers, and other upward professionals!. People that had to put in a lot of work to advance their careers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
