LIFE
During the trade in the regions effected West & Central Africa today 19 out of 53 countries were involved in the trade some barely and some extremely!. In those extremely involved in the trade ie Congo!. Life was very hard and unpredictable!. Towns became ghost towns populations fell fear grew and trust disappeard!. People moved to remote places ie hills forest and only with the people they trusted ie families to escape from capture or war this stopped any means of development in all ways!.

ECONOMY
The economy in those regions constantly fell the people who gained from the trade were the sellers (Kings & kidnappers) the populations lost so when the kings or kidnappers did die all of their wealth was either passed down in their family or lost the populations never gained!.

HISTORY
Over half the total captives of the slave trade were taken during the 18th century meaning a huge gap occured in many families generations where there were only possibly orphans being looked after by the elderly but living in hiding the African way of passing down history was lost orally but tradition instead which was easier to pass down did!. Reason why today we can see many African traditions alive but the actuall history of those regions are dark and vague!.

RELATIONSHIPS
The differences between ethnic groups grew even bigger due to wars producing slaves the different groups carried on this tension and when colonization put these groups into a country today we see civil wars!.

ATTITUDES
The leaders of African Kingdoms bought guns alcahol etc and traded humans today these attitudes remain only that African governments of these regions are buying weapons to fight the other ethnic groups within their country for power (due to colonization) and dont help the populations!.

POPULATION
Although only 15million survived the voyage to the Americas
32million were bought by Europeans leaving 17million to die in the middle passage that was not the total death toll!. Before Africans reached the ports they traveled for months on foot many died and an estimated 8million died on journey to the coast so the total human captives kidnapped from these African regions between 1440s-1850s was 40million

16 out 19 countries involved in the transatlantic slave trade fall under the lower half of densest countries in the world:
Out of 224 countries in the world these 16 rank of the 19 African countries involved are all below 100th in order of most deserted!.

216th Gabon 1million
204th Republic of Congo 4million
199th Angola 16million
188th Democratic Republic of Congo 63 million
187th Equatorial Guinea 504,000
178th Mozambique 21 million
174th Liberia 3million
171st Madagascar 12 million
167th Cameroon 18million
164th Guinea 9 million
154th Guinea-Bissau 1million
141st Cote d' Ivoire 18 million
137th Senegal 12 million
118th Benin 8million
114th Sierra Leone 6million
103rd Ghana 23 million

Majority have fetile lands no deserts and now other means to be deserted

Africa being 3 times the size of Europe!.
Africas population only reached the same as Europes in 1997 and today half of Africas population is under 25 years (450 million) and yet only 19 countries in Africa were involved in the slave trade you can see how big the effects were and how it effected the continent as a whole!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Short answer: sucked to be them!.

Long answer:

One of the saddest effects of the slave trade in West Africa was inciting war among the tribes living there!. Whites often traded guns for slaves!. The Africans then used the guns to capture more slaves from rival tribes!. Lots of inter-tribal wars happened!. This caused economic upheaval and ruin as many of the people who farmed and produced food were taken as slaves, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Poverty,Illiteracy, farming religious intolerance!.!.etc!. just any thing bad you see and find!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
