I too, grew up in California in the 50's-70's!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.There was a LOT of change, the music was definately great, the social attitude towards the "establishment" (or I should say "against" the establishment!.!.!.!.!.!.) The assassinations, the "police action" in Vietnam, political lies (not much has changed there!.!.!.!.!.) I guess that was the decade that everything really changed: I mean REALLY changed:

Moms went out into the workforce
Women demanded their basic human rights
Same with blacks, and other minorities
Civil Rights came into play
"Big Brother" we found out, really IS watching!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because there were a LOT of baby boomers who grew up then, and they work really hard to make "their" time sound better than other peoples!. The truth, however, is that it was a period of violence and disruption, complete with assassinations, war, and social tension!. Nothing really golden about it, aside of some really good music!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
