FDR was the US president during the 1930's and all the way into 1944, in the 1930's he was most important for his New Deal which helped the US out of the Depression!.

Adolf Hitler was also important or infamous would be a better word to use!. He became chancellor of Germany around 1933 and he was the sole reason for the Halocaust and WWII!.
