Actually, they did a study on this!. Apparently the safest place when calculating wind currents and the drift of radioactive material is on some barren rock off the coast of South America, or something like that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A mountainous region, like Colorado or the Alps or the Andes, where the fallout wouldn't settle with the tradewinds !. !. !. the southern regions would be best, like New Zealand mountains, except for those damned volcanoes!.
