All empires fall, it's only a matter of time!. America will fall - as usual, a combination of economic, social, and political factors will be involved!. (Counting warfare, too!.)

Might be a decade, might be a century, but I don't think it will last anywhere near a millennia!. It's just historical - nations don't last that long, especially ones as culturally diverse as America!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Firstly, America is not an empire!. And there is a fallacy that USA is so powerful that it can defeat any nation!. I doubt that USA can defeat China on her own (without her NATO allies)!. And with the economy that USA has today, it cannot afford a prolonged war, and history has shown that China can withstand very prolonged wars, so in such an event, I am more certain that China will emerge victorious - given such a hypothetical scenario!. However, there is a phobia that China may rise to overtake USA, and this disturbing trend is one of the causes of daily propaganda by western media against China, to try to arrest China's growth!.
The same scenario can be applied to Russia, and given the land mass, USA will face the same problem as when the Germans invaded USSR during Operation Barbarossa!. But, of course the media (and all are Western media) try to portray USA as the most powerful - powerful in terms of what!? In terms of her ability to gobble up small nations (and even for some of those wars, USA still needed help from the "allies of the willing")!? (And, for that matter, any of those largest countries are able to do the same)!. So, propagation (of ludicrous claims) sometimes contain distorted truths only!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, American is not an empire!.
Too much to control effectively!.
Countries do stay around awhile!.!. look at Great Britain!.
Yes, the British Empire did fall, but it was international!.
Great Britain is doing just fine!.
It seems that on a smaller scale, countries can hold up for many years!.
Is the United States TOO big to hold up!?
