Sharecropping, like many social practices, will not have an exact date that goes with its beginning!. In the US, sharecropping began on a large scale after the Civil War ended in 1865!. However, in some parts of the south, sharecropping did exist in states with few slaves before the war broke out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
