The same as France and Britain!. All three allied nations in the Western front used trench warfare, as did the Germans!. The idea was to send massive amounts of infantrymen at machine guns and enemy trenches and hope to break through the enemy defenses!. This is a major contributor to the high casulties of the war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
