The emperors of Japan were thought to be divine, direct descendents of the Sun Goddess Amaterasu!. he would have been raised to expect to be Emperor when the time came, and to believe in his divine right to rule!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Louise C is correct!. He inherited the throne!. The Japanese line of succession is perhaps the most peaceful I've ever study in that they didn't have dynasties overthrowing other dynasties!. It was seemingly one continuous line; one family!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
