Canprof is right!. The Chinese were actually a small portion of the rail building work force in both Canada and the U!.S!.!. But since it was an unusual sight to see so many Chinese all working on such a project, at that time, that is what has remained in the memory of history!. This is not to deminish their accomplishments, but they were no different than the groups of Mexicans, Irish or Germans, for example, that also labored on railroads and other major projects!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
