Dress making?

Question: Dress making!?

Hello!

I would really love to make a dress just for the fun of making one! I need some help though so can anyone give me some tips!? I am looking at making one based around the renaissance, tudor or elizabethan era!. Got any ideas!?

I suggest going to a fabric store where they sell patterns!. Both Simplicity and McCalls have patterns for dresses of these eras in the costume sections of the pattern books!. Good luck!!
