There weren't any large scale battles in Alabama!. The Port of Mobile was always a target for the North but they never attacked as was done in Charleston, New Orleans and Vicksburg!.

After the fall of Vicksburg the Union Army of the West choose to advance on Atlanta and spared Alabama from the ravages of the war!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
