The Romans Invaded Britain 43ad, (Then left about 410ad)!.!.!.

The Romans invaded and settled Britain in 43 AD under the emperor Claudius!. Basically he needed a military victory to cement his position as emperor!. also there was some good mineral resources in Britain such as gold, silver, and tin etc!.
Another reason (or excuse) was that the failed invasions of the 50's BC didn't look too good on the Roman people, and Caesar actually stated that tribes he fought in Gaul (modern France) were assisted by British tribes too, so there was an element of unfinished business about the whole thing too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
