If you enjoy murder mysteries, there are a number of good series with a medieval setting!.

The Brother Cadfael series by Ellis Peters are very good and there are about twenty of them, they're set in the 12th century!.

I am very fond of the Sister Frevisse series by Margaret Frazer, which has a nun detective, set in the 15th century, they're excellent!. I think she was written about fifteen of those so far!.

Peter Tremayne's 'Sister Fidelma' series is also very good, set in 7th century Ireland and England!.

'A proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver' by E!.l!. Konigsburg which is a fictionalised biography of Eleanor of Aquitaine is a very good story with a medieval setting!.

If you want to read non-fiction books about the middle ages, some I really enjoy include:

'Medieval Lives' by Terry Jones
'Medieval Women' by Eileen Power
'women in the Medieval Towns' by Urika Uitz

Some good books written in the medieval period that are fun to read and are available in modern english translations include:

The Decameron by Boccachio
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
Morte d'Arthur by Thomas Malory (particularly good if you are interested in Arthur)
History of the Kings of Britain by Geoffrey of Monmouth (contains the first written version of the story of Arthur)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley is excellent!. I know she had a sequel as well just can't think of the name!.
If you want other medieval books I would suggest looking into the series by Edith Parageter it start with Sunrise in the West!.
Mary Stewart has written an Authurian series starting with "The Crystal Cave", "The Hollow Hills" and "The Last Enchantment", all are excellent books told from Merlins point of view!.
Other good medieval authors you might look into are Jennifer Robison, "Lady of Sherwood" and "Lady of the Forest" the story of Robin Hood with the emphasis on Maid Marion!. Great books with a different spin on things!.
Ellis Peters (aka Edith Parageter) has written numerous Brother Cadfael Mysteries set in medieval times, all are good!.
I hope I helped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
