I expect some found their fortune but the majority ended up with less than they expected and to top it all they were thousands of miles away from their countries of origin and without the possibility of going back, so they had to work harder than before to exist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

can't be pilgrims that was in the early to mid 1500's
Chinese were brought here as prostitutes and slaves in 1800's*
*may be a harsh term but its pretty much true
They were put to work in Cathouses,(women)and as
"servants"
Men were used for railroad building and explosives handlers
Few worked as "servants"
Mexicans still immigrate here so I don't connect the date!.
What peoples did migrate here from overseas,found a hostile
land needing to be tamed!.

No, the immigrants thought that it would be amazing!. They did get their amendments (freedom of!.!.!.) But then again, they had to work their ***** off, and they hardly had money to buy food let alone housing for their family!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
