Can anyone tell me what this means!?

Aristotle wrote, “If liberty and equality, as is thought by some, are chiefly to be found in democracy, they will be best attained when all persons alike share in government to the utmost!.”Www@QuestionHome@Com

It means, for a society to have liberty and equality, they need to be democratic (as in system of government, not US political party)!. For a democracy to function at it's best, everybody in that society needs to participate as much as possible!.

In Aristotle's time, "everybody" would have been limited to free male citizens!. They would have actually been the ones who served in the government!.

In today's world, this really means that people need to pay attention, educate themselves on the various issues and candidates, and then vote!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
