No!. Hitler had all his chances before but he wasted it!. It was his own miscalculations and wrong decisions that led to his defeat!. Consider the following:
1!.) Germany had invented the jet engine during that time and one of his advisers had proposed that they use that technology for the Battle of Britain!. Hitler refused because he did not want additional expenses!. They attacked Britain using the planes they had and they were defeated!.
2!.) Germany had developed the V-2 rocket during that time!. The V-2 was the forerunner of the SCUD which Iraq used in the Gulf War!. Again Hitler did not approve in commissioning the rockets in his early campaigns against Europe!. He did authorize their use later but it was already too late!. Had he done so in the beginning of his military campaigns, Germany would have easily defeated the rest of Europe in just a matter of months!.
3!.) Hitler's advisers warned him not to make the same mistake Napoleon did in attacking Russia!. Hitler did not listen and insisted that his war machinery was a lot superior than that of Napoleon's!. Hundreds of German soldiers died when they were trapped by the Siberian winter, the same element that defeated Napoleon before!.
4!.) Hitler rushed the Panzer tanks to the battlefields in spite of the technical problems they discovered in the design!. So in spite of the Panzer's reputation for being invincible, they overheat easily & consumes fuel very fast!. The Panzer tank had a very strong armor!.!.!.but a very soft belly!. The Americans discovered that "soft spot" and used that knowledge in defeating the Germans during the ensuing tank battles!.
So you see, even if Germany have the technology of today, they will still lose because of Hitler's tendency to commit fatal errors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He could have ruled the world, if he hadn't made so many mistakes, like letting those brits out in dunkerke, attacking russia instead of using it to finish of britain and china, that would of left the japs with free hands, and if had not been figthing with the whole world at the same time, still 5 years, that says a lot about how good their weapons and military were, no present military compares to them, in training, and sofistication!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, just look at what has happened in the world for the last hundred years!.

Nations have continued to splinter and break apart over the last century!. Empires really aren't working!.

Technology can only deal with so much, people can overcome technological inferiority!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Given that sort of massive technological edge, Hitler would certainly have been able to conquer Europe and perhaps Western Asia!. Ruling is another matter, of course!. As we've seen, low tech weapons in the hads of determined fighters are enough to eventually force a large, conventional, high tech military to consider withdrawal!. Given nuclear weapons, of course, Hitler might well have succeeded in conquering what he wanted and destroying human populations in the rest, and who's to say how long he could have held on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're forgetting something: the Germans and Japanese HAD the technological advantage initially in the war!. That is why they were so successful!.

The German tanks & tactics and paratroopers were NEW!. And the German planes were better than the French or Polish!. The Poles sent Cavalry out against the Panzer divisions!. The French had biplanes still; and were content to sit behind their defenses, while the Germans out-flanked them and then obliterated them with rail-guns!.

The Japanese Zero mopped up against US fighters in the war initially!. The development of better US fighters & bombers with longer ranges allowed the US victory against Japan!.

The US tank at the end of the war, the Sherman tank; was terrible! The Russians developed a tank that could defeat the German Tigers & Panzers; but then the Germans developed King Tigers, which if build in large enough numbers could have beaten back the Russians!. The problem became one of numbers, the weak Shermans were built in massive numbers that outflanked the Germans; not to mention the ability of the Allies to supply their tanks with gasoline (main objective of the battle of the bulge was to capture allied supplies of gas)!.

The Germans had ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles, jet engines!. They were more advanced than the allies in many fields; but the industrial capacity of the US & USSR was enough to outmatch that deficiency in tech!.

So no, since the US is at or at least near the top of technology; and has a great industrial capacity; no one country would be able to take control!. Not even China!.
Besides, we have a few thousand large reasons for someone not to attack- ICBMs, not to mention our boomer subs, & US Air forces with nukes too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Intelligence, spy in the sky, sanctions and the United Nations to name a few!. These are the reasons that it could not happen today!. Certainly one country can go to war with another, but i could not see a country taking over the world in the Hitler sense!.
