For ex: The 19th century consisted of struggles and conflicts between the North and the South!.

Then I wanna say "these two territories!.!.!.blah blah blah"

The Confederacy and the Union!.

The historical term for north and south as large parts of the U!.S!. that were struggling against each other at that time was sections, and sectionalism is the term given to those struggles in the history books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think 'regions' as opposed to territories would be more appropriate, as much or the current continental U!.S!. was considered to be territories back then!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
