There were 2 events that impacted the Roman world and also affected the life of Jesus!. Of course there were more, but these would be of interest to the Roman world!.
1/ In 14AD, Augusts after a reign of 44 years, one of the longest reigns in Roman history, finally dies!. Unkind rumours, mostly Suetonius, say that at the end he was murdered by his heir apparent, Tiberius!. Tiberius takes the thrine, and eulws through to around 35AD!. Luke sas that the career of Jesus began in the 15th year og the reign of Tiberius, giving a starting date of 29AD!.
2/ The fall of Sejanus!.
This will take a little defining, as it is more background to the crucifixion!. By about 20AD, not sure of the exact date!. Tiberius had retired to the island of Capri, and left the actual ruling of the Empire in the hands of a man called Sejanus!. From that point on, every appointment to rule in the Empire was made through this mans patronage!. Specifically, Pontius Pilate would have been one of these appointments!.
In 28AD, Sejanus was deposed and all members of his family were executed!. In the following bloodbath, 100's were killed!. Pilate survived, but only just!. Sejanus was anti-Semitic, as were most of his followers!.
Pilate survived, but he was under examination!. Some of his early mistakes did not help, and was probably aware the next ne would cost him and his family there lives!.
In the gospel of John, Piilate is about to set Jesus free, when Caiaphas says to him that if he sets Jesus free, he will no longer be a friend of Caesar!. I have heard ridiculous ideas about belongin to some secret society, but the im[lied threat is that if he gets reported again, he will be killed!.
Pilate caves in and commitd one of the most famous miscarriages of justice in history!. Roman justice was rough, but fair!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on what are the location/exact time boundaries of your events!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
