The treaty ending the went into effect December 24, 1814, but due to delays in communication, fighting actually continued until Feb!. 12, 1815!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Technically by the treaty of Ghent in 1814!. But the news was slow back then and the Battle of New Orleans was fought after the peace signing!. The fighting thus went from 1812-15!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
