2 ubbay bin kali another companion of muhammad made his own version of koran which was used in syria
3 zayd ibn thabut made his own quran which was standardized in medina
4 abu musa made another companion of muhammad made his own version of quran which was standardized in basra
5 there are differences variation between different versions of quran present day koran has 114 surahs but ibn musad quran has not surah 1,113 and 114
6 ubbay bin kab quran has two additional surahs or other wise known verse compared to present day quran
7 abu musa quran was identical to ubbay bin quran not present day quran
IN 635 AD THIRD CALIPH UTHMAN DESTROYED ALL QURANS EXCEPT ZAYD IBN THABITS QURAN
IBN MASUED REFUSED TO HAND OVER HIS QURAN TO BE DESTROYED AND WAS BEATEN FOR REFUSLA

Like pretty much all religious documents (your precious bible included), it actually historically well-documented that what we read today is not the original!. I take this to mean that nothing that we read today can be guaranteed to the be the word of any diety!. Therefore, I take the parts that seem the most moral, the most enlightening, and the most uplifting to me, and ignore the rest!. "God is love"!.!.!."Peace"!.!.!."Thou shalt not kill"!.!.!. I see little in these statements that could be lost in translation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Who cares!. A similar thing happened to the new testament!. The Council of Nicea removed a ton of stuff from the bible!. The whole "Mary is a virgin" crowd lobbied to remove all references to Jesus's brothers and sisters!.
Don't believe anything you see and only half of what you read!.
