Yes it is, Oct!. 13, 1307!. The king of France didn't want to pay the Templars so it was easier to kill them then to pay them!. So on friday the 13th the Knights were taken into prison!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rob has the legend pinned right!. They DO say that Oct 13 1307 was a friday, and it's one of the commonly given explanations for the friday 13 ill repute!.

Now, I haven't managed to get my hands on a reliable calendar to check if it really was a friday at all!. Nor do I know for a fact that this is where the legend started!.
