Nefertitit seemed to have a position of unusual importance for an Egyptian Queen!. Her image is very prominent in art of the period when her husband Akhenaten was pharoah!. Then Nefertiti suddenly disappeared from history, and it is not known what became of her!.

Some historians have suggested that she may actually have been the mysterious pharoah Smenkhare who was co-ruler with Akhenaten in the later years of his reign, and reigned alone for three years after Akhenaten's death!. I do not think there is any definite proof of this though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
