Many solutions to the "Jewish Question" (what to do with the Jews!?) had been mooted by the Nazis, including some truly odd suggestions such as relocating them all to Madagascar!.

Hence the death camps became the "final solution" because a!.) it was the solution that was put into practice and b!.) (more importantly) it was a solution that gave closure & finality to the issue; unlike labour camps, ghettos etc which were never envisaged as more than temporary measures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For Hitler and the Nazis the question was "what do we do with the Jews, how do we get rid of them once and for all!. Initially labeling them as Jews and taking away everything they owned may have seemed a good idea, but they found they still had their "Jewish" problem!. Plus they wanted to not just eliminate all Jews in Germany, but all Jews period, which meant something more drastic was required!. Murder!. Initially this could be carried out through shootings and such!. But shooting Jews wasted ammo that could be used to fight the war!. And things like hanging would have taken too much time!.

The Final Solution, the final means required to exterminate the Jews!. Poison the Jews en masse, eliminating them in large numbers without wasting ammo that could be used at the front or taking the time to hang!. Meaning there would be no need to find any other way to get rid of them!. Only one means from that point on would be needed to exterminate the Jews!. That was why it was the "Final" Solution!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was talk among the Nazis of expelling the Jews from Europe perhaps to Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, but that became even more impractical once the war started!. The Jews were trapped behind German lines!. The Nazis tried crowding the Jews into ghettos relying on starvation and disease!. They also had large squads of killers roaming the countryside, rounding up Jew and shooting them or gassing them in vans!. The Final Solution was death camps like Auschwitz!. Kill all the Jews and the problem of their existence is finally solved!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hitler actually got the idea for his Final Solution for the jews from early America's Final Solution for the Native Americans!. Most of Hitler's ideas came from leaders of earlier empires!. So, apparently people have been coming up with solutions to eradicating certain peoples since the beginning of time!. He just probably thought his idea was better than everyone else's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was called the final solution becuase it would get rid of all the jews!. ALL of them!. he called it a solution becuase he saw the jews as a probleam and this was the solution!. it meant that once this was done that there would not need to be any other solutions cuz all the probleams where taken care of!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was exactly for the reason that it sounded like!. Hitler had some other plans, they didn't work, so he came up with another solution -- which turned out to be his "final solution"!. Hope this helped!.

The Final Solution was meant to be the extermination of all the Jews in Europe!. Up until that time the Nazis had persecuted the Jews, but plans to exterminate them all were not in place until 1941 or so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
