Well, there's the Quasi War between the US and France!. And then there's WWII!. Yeah, believe it or not we did fight the French in WWII even though they were our allies at the end of the war!. The French Vichy government was basically a German puppet government even if it wanted to think otherwise!. And in North Africa the Vichy French initially opposed the US and British landings there before finally changing sides against the will of the government and fighting alongside US abd British forces against German and Italian forces in North Africa!. The French battleship Jean Bart, still unfinished at the time, had a duel with the USS Massachusetts at CassablancaWww@QuestionHome@Com

Technically America/USA was at war with Vichy France, the puppet govt installed by the Nazi regime in the 1940's!.

France supported the 13 Colonies against the British in 1776 using Jean Laffeytte; the French may have sided with the South/Confederacy in some battles in the US Civil War!.

Even Canada and the USA have been at war with each other, War of 1812, when Canada burnt Washinton DC and the White House to the ground :) lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

There was a "war of sorts" around the time of the war of 1812, I think that it was just before it, but I'm not sure!.

One of the answers said that Canada was never in a war!. I think that the Germans, Japanese, North Koreans at least would disagree!. The Canadians also has some armed boarder disputes with the U!.S!.

The question was, however, industrialized nations who never had a war with EACH OTHER!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

American Revolution
- In a move that will become quite familiar to future Americans, France claims a win even though the English colonists saw far more action!. This is later known as "de Gaulle Syndrome", and leads to the Second Rule of French Warfare; "France only wins when America does most of the fighting!."
does this count!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Knight11 has the answer!. The QuasiWar occured in the late 18th and early 19th Centuries!. There was no declaration of war but the navies of both countries fought each other!. The landings at North Africa saw fighting between French (Vichy) and American troops!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Errm, any number of Commonwealth nations have failed to come to blows!.
Australian, Canada, NZ & India (India was never at war with the UK but gained through the EIC & police actions) have never warred between themselves yet all are significantly industrialised!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How about the French and Indian war of the mid 1700's!. We and the Brits were fighting the French!. Of course, the US wasn't a country then, we were really a part of Britain!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
