It all depends!.

Like many other things, the decisions being made today can either hasten it or delay it!.
It is fairly well inevitable!. The larger nations, in particular the newer developing ones, are needing increasing amounts of resources to continue their growth!. That's one of the biggest factors in starting wars, demand for strategic resources!.

The better question is who will be fighting whom!.

I think it may be the "old guard" of nations (the US and Europe) against the newer ones!. The older ones hold a technological and military advantage for now, but they are generally softer (as far as will to fight) and less populous than the newer developing nations!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
