Question: What was the name of the policy in Congress after the Civil War where they did not talk about slavery!?
There seemed to be this one phrase that my AP USH kept saying!.!.!. like the hush or under the rug policy (but not the hush or under the rug policy), if you follow my meaning!.!.!. Does anyone know what that policy was!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You may be referring to the Gag Rule!. This occurred prior to the Civil War and it was an informal agreement that petitions against slavery and any items dealing with slavery, would not be brought up in the House!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
