What makes you believe they were inefficient!? My guess is there would not be much a gladiator could do about it!. Most were prisoners and slaves made to fight!. So all one could do was deal with it and take your frustrations out in the arenaWww@QuestionHome@Com

Since virtually all gladiators were volunteers, I doubt it!. If you had the nerves and physical prowess to fight as a gladiator, I doubt minor inconveniences would be a big deal!. This was your best chance to escape from slavery, if you survived a few years in the ring you could earn your freedom and have a great career in the military ahead of you!.

So, no, whiners rarely (if ever) volunteered to be gladiators!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
