Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It wasn't just the third estate!. There were some nobility who also got involved!. Some of the important leaders in the revolutions were high ranking!. If it had been the 3rd class vs!. everyone else it wouldn't have gotten very far!. While the majority of the people were in the 3rd estate the power wasn't!. Plus the Revolution was a turn to liberalism and liberal economic ideas were not in favor or giving people jobs (unemployment was big in france) that was more of a socialist idea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The 1st and 2nd estates were the high clergy and the aristocracy of France - - the tiny minority of men who had controlled most of the wealth and power in France for centuries!. The 3rd estate was everyone else - middle class bourgeoisie, workers, farmers!. These were heavily taxed to pay for the luxuries and privileges of the few!. This was a powder keg system of inequality that was bound to explode, and it did in 1789!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The Third Estate were the representatives of the common people, made up of mostly lawyers and judges!. They were the only one of the three estates who had to pay taxes!. The First Estate were all the nobles, and the Second Estate are like all the rich people!. The Third Estate were mad when the government refuse to make everyone pay taxes!. So the Third Estate made the Tennis Court Oath and created a constitiution for equality amongst men!. Women had little sayings in this!. Later the National Convention made up of these Third Estate represntatives grew in power until the Commitee of Public Safety is established under Robespierre!. The Commitee killed all the people against the Revolution, called the Reign of Terror!. The King and his family died!. During these turmoils caused by the Revolution, Napoleon rose in power until he took over the Directory govenment established after the National Convention!.
