For the same reason they did not like blacks or Jews--they felt like (and still do) that they are the One Superior Race and that others, including women, were inferior due to their lack of intelligence!. Can you imagine anyone feeling that way about black men such as George Washington Carver, Alex Haley or Colin Powell!? Or black women like Oprah Winfrey or Maya Angelou!?

The KKK is made up of a bunch of racial bigots who refuse to accept that anybody who is not a WASP is stupid and not worthy of note!. They never see themselves as others do!. They are a bunch of dangerous men who warrant watching at all times!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe because all the immagrants back then were'nt they're race!. Im pretty sure they only liked they're own kind,
