Question: Why were the Nazis so opposed to the communists!?

This is a very very good question since the NAZI party was the National "Socialist" Worker's Party!. I think they were more anti-Russian than anything else!. Germans had feared the Russians for centuries dating back to the attacks of the Mongols/Tatars in the 1200s to the near destruction of Prussia in 1759/1760 at the end of the Seven Years War!. Germans instinctively feared the hordes of the East attacking them!. Hitler shared this paranoia!. Hitler was an amateur student of history!. You can read his opinions and concerns in his book "Mein Kampf!."
It was more the fear of totalitarian Russian communist takeover than the economic political ideology of socialist benefits for workers that made Hitler and the NAZIs so anti-Communist!.

Added note - I agree with the good answer below that the people who had some property did not want to give it up in a communist society!. That is always an inherent fear in regards to communism - the fear of having to share one's property with everyoneWww@QuestionHome@Com

The Nazis were most opposed to the Communists because Hitler was afraid of a worldwide Jewish conspiracy!. Hitler believed that Communism was just an offshoot of the Jewish race!. He also believed that it was his destiny to save Germany from the Jewish race!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Communism was feared because it called for the removal of most privilege and authority structures in society!. Nazism and Fascism appealed to those of feared the anarchy of communism and who wanted to keep the police, their businesses and money- and those who had nothing but who thought these institutions held society together!.

Democracy was seen as too weak to rule and most people in the 30s thought only fascism or communism was strong enough to last in power!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because it was a competing totalitarian dictatorship with an eye toward world domination!. Japan was stupid enough to think that the Nazis would leave a bit of the world for them, The Soviet Union wasn't that naive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Nazis signed a non-aggression pact with the Soviets and it's allies!.
Not surprisingly, the Nazis broke that pact when it didn't suit their purposes anymore!.

OR so I believe!.!.!.I could be wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
