America was, about 100 years ago, made up of Spanish, English, Scottish, Irish, Italian, German, Chinese, and African roots!. 5 out of 8 of these are former Roman provinces, so it is unsuprising that when these divergent Roman cultures reconverged, they appeared bizarrely similar to Rome!. In addition, the imperial, republican majesty of Rome greatly appealed to Americans, who looked at a continent about the size of the Roman empire!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For some reason the Chinese culture is ignored by western civilization, even though it's culture and history are much older than either the Romans or the Greeks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They formed the philosophical foundations for our laws and the interpretation of them!.
Out culture stems from the works of the Greeks and Romans!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
