The second cartoon would have been from after the beginning of World War Two!.

It's supposedly Adolf Hilter's father talking to his son Cpl Hitler in 1918 at the end of The Great War also known as "The war to end all wars"!.

He's saying to his son, Adolf, "Son, I hope this IS the end of all wars!."
The irony is that his son is the man who engineered the next World War!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the lower cartoon, the situation is: when world war I broke out, it was called "the war to end all wars!." Obviously, it didn't do that!. But the old man in the picture is looking at a young Hitler and saying he hopes that the next war will be the one to end all wars!. But the cartoonist is saying that that's a vain hope, because since world war I didn't end all wars, you can't imagine world war II will, either!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, the first picture is a depiction of how the USA gets "in the middle" of everything!. the second picture is a fantasy, or a dream, we wish that WWII was the end of all wars!. It's a contradiction, it's only the beginning!. going back to the first photo, the USA has been, will be, and shall always be "involved"!. Which I think is Bulls**t!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
