Question: What % of the men in Germany died in World War II!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Population of Germany in 1939: 69,623,000

Military related deaths: 5,533,000

German Civilian deaths: 1,600,000

(The above is not including German males who died in the Holocaust because they were Jewish or for other reasons!.)

Assuming that half of the population was male that would make about 35 million males in 1939, and assuming between half to 2/3 of those were of fighting age (18-50) that would make roughly, 20 million men, which means, very roughly 1/4 or 25%!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know but when I saw this question it rreminded me of a cousin of mine who died during world war II, well he was my third cousin or so, he was killed by the German in World War II, I think he went there or something like that and he was held captive and they killed him!. I am not going into details but it was pretty gruesome!.
