The Nazi's plans were to get control of the oil fields of the Middle East with the defeat of the Allies in North Africa and the conquest of the Greeks, Turks and Persians!. Had these plans succeeded the Axis would have been rich in fuel which would have hampered the Allied Effort considerably!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

they were!.!.!.Rommel was headed to Egypt then Iraq/Persia/Saudi!.!.!.and if the Germans hadnt been defeated at Stalingrad that Army Group would have headed down thru Turkey/Iran to the mid east fields too!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They did!. but the British stopped them at El Alamein in Egypt and destroyed the German Army in North Africa in 1942/43Www@QuestionHome@Com
