Position:Home>History> Decline of Medieval Feudalism...?Question: Decline of Medieval Feudalism!.!.!.!? What were (at least) 4 main factors that conrtibuted to the decline of this economic system !?
What is perhaps the one that had the greatest impact!? Any extra information would be greatly appreciated!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Invention of the gunpowder!. Rise of the Central Government ruled Nation State -which gunpowder did play a part in by raising the costs of both offense and defense!. Rise of the Merchant Class The Black Death & resultant shifts in the economic balance!. Of the four, I'd tend to pick gunpowder, since the introduction of guns, gun powder, and cannon spelled the end of both the castle (well cheap ones) and the highly-trained warrior class which lay at the heart of the feudal system!. As evidence of this, I'd point to the second example of Japan for use of gunpowder ending a feudal system!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This site should help - there are links to click on, too: http://www!.middle-ages!.org!.uk/decline-of!.!.!. http://www!.middle-ages!.org!.uk/feudalism!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com An important one was the Black Death!.
